Meet the Vroom Slide System

Engineered to eliminate the failures traditional systems can’t avoid.

Founded by mechanical engineer Brian Vroom, the Vroom Slide System was born from firsthand frustration. When Brian’s own motorhome slide-out began failing, and the manufacturer had no long-term fi, he set out to design a system that would last the life of the RV, not the length of the warranty.

The result is a smarter, stronger, purpose‑built slide system that RV owners across New Zealand are now upgrading to for reliability, strength, and peace of mind.

Why Vroom Works When Others Don’t

Vroom is engineered from the ground up to eliminate the known weaknesses of factory mechanisms:

  • Robust tracks & larger gears handle heavy loads without slipping or shearing

  • Precision motor alignment prevents the twisting forces that cause gear failure

  • High‑capacity roller bearings glide inside a custom aluminium U‑channel

  • Consistent gear mesh eliminates grinding and reduces long‑term wear

  • Floating design moves naturally with the RV structure, preventing frame stress

  • Smooth, quiet, reliable movement, every time

No binding. No racking. No uneven travel. Just dependable performance, trip after trip.

Simple Manual Operation - Even in Emergencies

If something ever does go wrong, the Vroom Slide System makes manual retraction easy. With a simple 7/16” spanner, you can disconnect the motor and push the slide in by hand.

No dismantling.
No special tools.
No panic.

Most slide‑out failures start at the drive motor. In many systems, the motor is held in place by a single exterior sheet‑metal screw, leading to misalignment, broken wires, and loose motors over time.

The Vroom Slide System is different.

Our drive motor is solidly bolted to the upper pinion gear housing, just as it would be in true industrial motor‑gearbox applications. This rigid mounting keeps everything aligned, secure, and reliable, eliminating the most common causes of slide failure.
